MOUNT HOREB, Wi., [August 3, 2020] –Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to launch a new initiative focused on supporting local businesses amid the COVID-19 crisis. The effort is concentrating on driving community awareness to methods of supporting local businesses, as well as branding Mount Horeb as a safe place to shop, eat, and enjoy.
The initiative will kick off on August 27
th with the Mount Horeb Market. Thursday nights from August to October, residents and visitors are encouraged to support local by ordering takeout, dining out in restaurants’ new street eateries, and shopping from local retailers, online or in-store.
Messaging is to include a breakdown of how spending money in the Village benefits the community through sales tax, supporting local business owners who are also your neighbors, and supporting local businesses so that they can in turn support events, programs, and our youth sports teams.
The Chamber of Commerce will be emphasizing ways to support local like leaving reviews, buying gift cards for future occasions, and spending your dollars here. Along with information, the Chamber will be highlighting unique finds at local shops, restaurants, and attractions in a weekly Facebook series.
Chamber members will be receiving communications about new window clings available complimentary through their Chamber Membership Investment. These window clings will emphasis supporting local.
