Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C), a Madison-based non-profit child care resource and referral agency, has joined the Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce in hopes of bringing their services to the Mount Horeb community and surrounding area. 4-C’s mission is to ensure that every child has access to high quality early care and education through integrated support and expertise.

4-C is part of a network of accredited, non-profit Wisconsin Child Care Resource and Referral agencies providing advocacy and support services for child Care in the Southern Region of Wisconsin. Incorporated in 1971, the organization’s goals were to collect and analyze child care data; to develop programs, training and related services to improve the quality of child care; and to bring agencies together to promote improvement in services to children. They serve the counties of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Walworth, and Ho-Chunk nation.

4-C programs provide a broad range of services to families, early childhood professionals, and the community through three general program categories: family support services, health and safety services, and training and quality improvement services. Within those categories, they offer the following services: child care referrals, food program for child care providers, certification and pre-licensing, business child care advocacy, community resources, early child care data, and child care provider trainings. Collectively, these programs strive to carry out 4-C’s mission.

“We are so excited to welcome 4-C to the Chamber family,” says Rachel LaCasse-Ford, chamber director. “There is a great network of great child care here in Mount Horeb and 4-C is looking to help businesses be more successful. They are also a resource for those looking to start something new or take their child care business to the next level. We are excited to help get 4-C plugged into our community.”
