    GENERAL MANAGER – Buck & Honey's Mount Horeb

    JOB SUMMARY
    • Oversee all operations of the restaurant.
    • Lead, recruit and motivate a team of talented employees.
    • Manage food, labor, and overhead costs.
    • Work with management team to create standards and efficiencies across the organization.
    • Ensure an outstanding, high-level dining experience.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Hire and manage front of house (FOH) staff; create a cohesive team that communicates effectively.
    • Follow appropriate health codes and food handling requirements, maintain food safety certifications, and model exemplary food health safety practices to employees.
    • Manage staff scheduling.
    • Manage licensing requirements for food and beverage employees along with the restaurant.
    • Analyze restaurant budget and inventory, reduce expenses, and adjust purchasing strategies.
    • Control operations by developing effective policies, high standards, and adjusting.
    • Oversee presentation, taste, service, and atmosphere for all guests.
    • Develop ways to cultivate guest loyalty.
    • Consider actions of employees in various situations that deem rewarding or disciplinary action.
    • Sustain employee safety standards and guidelines to eliminate hazards in the workplace.
    • Create innovative solutions to drive business results and increase employee satisfaction.
    • GM will be present on the floor with staff and guests running shifts.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • 3-5+ years of experience in restaurant management.
    • Ability to motivate FOH and BOH team through personal leadership.
    • Experience in a high volume and fast-paced setting.
    • Knowledge about driving sales and meeting financial goals.
    • Current ServSafe Certification preferred.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITES
    • Must be organized, capable of managing high levels of detail, and handling multiple activities.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of software systems, specifically MS Office.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Any certifications or Spanish language abilities a plus.
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, etc.)
    • Travel occasionally to other locations for meetings, conferences, etc.
    • Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    • Capable of standing and walking throughout the workday.
    Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
