    What Your Day Will Look Like:

    The majority of your day will include the general supervision of students in the library, supporting students and staff with technology issues, particularly troubleshooting Chromebook issues, and assisting the librarian with check out and collection of library materials. Throughout your day you will also be assisting students and teachers as they visit the library. This position does include regular kneeling and bending while restocking bookshelves.   

    Hours: M-F 7:45-3:45 p.m. / 40 hours per week

                        7:45-1:00 on Early Release Days

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • High school graduate or equivalent education.

    • Experience working in education or similar fields.

    • Basic technology skills 

    • Passionate and engaging.

    • Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners.

    • Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.

    • Collaborative and solution oriented mindsets.

    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.

    • Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.  

    • Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.  

    • Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.

    • Enjoy working with middle school aged students and other staff members.

    • Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

    • Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.

     

    What We Offer:

    To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $14.17 per hour beginning on your first day, including during the training period.  Additionally, you are eligible to receive benefits including, an annual stipend, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and retirement.
