    Job Description

    The Peoples Community Bank is hiring for a full-time Assistant Vice President - Branch Manager position at our Barneveld location. The primary focus of this position is to maintain and grow market share through acquiring, building, and retaining consumer and small business client relationships while maximizing efficiency, managing staff and developing employee potential. This individual coaches and supervisors the CSRs in Barneveld in sales and in their daily performance ensuring that the overall image of the bank presents a professional yet personable place to do business.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor the growth of the location in the areas of core deposit growth, asset growth and non-interest income.
    • Develop relationships with clients, the public and the community in a manner that will promote the overall image and sales efforts of the bank. Actively participates in community events representing the bank in a positive professional manner.
    • Have a complete understanding of all deposit products, including IRAs, and services in order to identify customer needs and expand relationships.
    • Effectively use sales skills to offer additional services to customers and recognize referral opportunities to other departments.
    • Provide quality, personalized service in an efficient manner while enhancing customer service.
    • Consistently ensure the delivery of quality customer service through staff selection, development, supervision and coaching.
    • Monitor the opening and closing of the location along with being on call after hours for alarms which includes nights and weekends.
    • Ensure the Barneveld location is properly staffed which includes but is not limited to the following: scheduling vacations, lunches and meetings to allow for minimal customer disruption and adequate customer service. Coordinate coverage help with other bank staff and offices as necessary.
    • Prepare monthly reports for sales, CSR cash balancing and other miscellaneous reports as assigned.
    • Process payroll entries for staff.
    • Balance cash totals for location comparing teller system totals to general ledger.
    • Responsible for interior and exterior general maintenance needs and coordination of repair needs for the Barneveld location.

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields or comparable bank employment experience.
    • Five years minimum experience serving customers in a financial institution setting. Previous work experience involving supervisory responsibilities with coaching skills to motivate and inspire others to reach individual, department, and bank goals.
    • Familiarity with financial products and services.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, effective listening, verbal/written communication skills.
    • Availability to work extended or additional hours to meet the needs of customer and office demands.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability and willingness to participate in community functions and represent the organization in a professional positive manner.
