Join fiddle player Libby Weitnauer as she presents a special concert of old time Appalachian music!
Libby Weitnauer is a fiddle player, violinist, singer, and educator currently based in Brooklyn, NY, but raised in her musical community of East Tennessee. She has studied traditional music with teachers including Matt Brown, Rayna Gellert, and Dom Flemons, has earned degrees in classical violin performance from DePaul University and New York University, and has presented her music research at the Smithsonian Museum and the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center. In both research and performance, Libby finds inspiration exploring the depths and boundaries of Appalachian music and people.
