Celebrate the return of light in the darkness of winter! Children and adults alike are invited to this special day of wintertime wonder. The event starts with workshops at 3:00pm. During this time children and adults are invited to help shape the lussekatter, the traditional saffron buns served for Sankta Lucia. Children will also enjoy Nordic crafts and learning the traditional Lucia songs. Children and teens who wish to participate in the evening Sankta Lucia procession must attend the workshops in order to learn the songs. At 6:00pm there will be a potluck, followed by the Sankta Lucia Procession. After the procession, enjoy a few family-friendly dances. Musicians are encouraged to join the volunteer Folklore Village Band.
