Learn fiddle tunes from Norway such as springar, halling, bridal tunes, waltz, reinlendar, polka, and mazurka. In addition, you will be taught how to approach the style, feel, tonality and ornaments of these tunes and receive the unique insight into the tradition from a Norwegian fiddler.
The workshop is open to all melodic instruments.

About the instructor:
Vidar Skrede, from Haugesund, Norway, is a fiddler and Nordic folk musician with a background in traditional music from Rogaland in the South Western part of Norway. Currently living in Milwaukee, he has a masters degree in Nordic folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, and has over 20 years of performing and teaching Norwegian and Nordic fiddle tunes behind him.
