    Since 2003, the Thirsty Troll Brew Fest has welcomed nearly 20,000 people to the charming, small-town community of Mount Horeb, attracting beer lovers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and beyond. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our brewers who’ve poured at our annual fall event, including some who’ve been with us since the beginning. THANK YOU!

    We invite you to join us for our 17th festival, packed with only the best craft beer, contests, live music, our mascot, Jorgen the Troll, and more.

    We will again offer a select number of breweries the chance to set up their own exclusive areas to the side of the main tent. If your brewery is interested in this opportunity, contact us to learn more.

    Other important details:

    • Breweries get reimbursed for their beer! We’ll cover the costs of up to three half-barrels or equivalent packaging with a $375 maximum.  

    • Those pouring on your behalf must be representatives of your brewery and have a strong familiarity with the products. This distinction is one of the big draws for many of our attendees — the ability to talk with brewers and others who work inside the operation.

    • Breweries are welcome to offer a small quantity of limited-release beer to serve to our “VIT” (Very Important Troll) crowd. The VIT experience has been very successful in the last three years, so we’ll offer that ticket option again. Beer can be served in small quantities from growlers, cans or bottles, with reimbursement of up to $75 (separate from the standard reimbursement fee).

    • Setup is from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, with lunch for the brewers following at 11. Note that the VITs arrive at noon, so it’s best to complete your setup before lunch is served.

    Just 25 brewer spots are available, and pouring at the festival is on a first-come, first served basis. To reserve your spot, complete the brewer agreement. 

    As we get closer to the event, we’ll ask you to confirm descriptions of the beers you will be bringing and the names of those pouring for your brewery.

    In the past, we have had several breweries cancel at the last minute, which has forced us to form a new cancellation policy. If your brewery commits to attending but cancels within two weeks of the festival date, you will be charged 50 percent of reimbursement fee and will not be allowed to pour at the next year’s festival.

    All of the money raised at the Thirsty Troll Brew Fest goes toward making the Mount Horeb area a welcoming community for those who live, work and play here.
